“Why Public Speaking Should Be a Core Skill in Every Child’s Education.”

Public speaking. Two words that would scare most people. But as Roger Love once said “All speaking is public speaking, whether it’s to one person or a thousand.” Like all of us, we have been speaking from childhood, it’s a skill we developed gradually. For me, I have been performing stage shows since I was in the womb(lol).

Expressing one's thoughts through speaking is a skill that links thinking processes to interaction, an ability we all have. Most of us are afraid not to speak, and because of this fear, we create a false image of oneself. Everyone experiences nerves and makes mistakes; perfection is not needed for connection.

I encourage every parent(s) to provide their child/children with the opportunity to start participating in public speaking, as my family encouraged me. I am not the best, and it’s certain that all of us have the ability.

Public speaking is vital for kids because it builds lasting confidence, enhances communication skills, and fosters critical thinking. It helps children overcome shyness, articulate ideas clearly, and develop leadership abilities, which improves academic performance and prepares them for future professional success. “The English Montessori School”

Regularly presenting helps us, as children overcome fears, reducing social anxiety and building self-assurance. It helps your performance in classroom discussions and presentations. This, I can attest to.

Being a part of the “Global Kids Speak” family has changed the way I looked at myself and if you are wondering why I am your current champion, I want to leave this with you “Confidence comes from within, and when it builds, it radiates”

NOW, it’s your turn to become a champion!

Public speaking is something that takes time. You don't need to be perfect when speaking, you just need to have confidence in yourself. Public speaking helps develop your leadership skills and many other things that will help you later in life. The journey isn't easy, but practice makes perfect.

What I have learned by this speech is that public speaking is a expression of speech its something we learn gradually, but some people are deathly afraid of it. Public speaking can be speaking to one or one thousand people. It is important for kids to do public speaking, from my own experiences if you don't speak for a while it will get harder to speak. Public speaking helps to improve creativity, articulation, and leadership. This speech helps you to understand your voice is something special and to continue to try improving it.

What I have learned from this speech is that your voice is the power to success, and that power found within your voice brings passion along with motivation, and the fear of using what you are given is a problem a lot of people suffer with. And this is why I believe that the public should be incorporated into everyone’s life, from kids to adults. Your voice is powerful, and the more you can make people hear you say, the more power it carries. Your voice is not something that should be stored away but should be heard like a roar from a lion.

This speech taught me that everyone can get better at public speaking with practice. Many people experience anxiety, but this does not mean that they are poor at communicating . I have also learned that getting started early can greatly boost self-esteem and help clear concept expression. parents support is also very crucial. All things considered, public speaking helps us develop our leadership, communication, and confidence skills, all of which will benefit us in our everyday life.
